16 Mar 1942: Enlisted Royal Australian Air Force, Aircraftman, 52000, 1 Recruit Depot Shepparton (RAAF), On the 16th March 1942 Charles Morcom (nee Pickering) Enlisted in the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) as Aircraftman 1 (AC1) at the No.1 Recruit Depot.
12 Apr 1942: Transferred Royal Australian Air Force, Aircraftman, No. 4 School of Technical Training Adelaide, On the 12th April 1942 he was Transferred to the No.4 School of Technical Training to qualify as a Flight Rigger.
6 Jun 1942: Transferred Royal Australian Air Force, Aircraftman, No. 1 Engineering School Ascot Vale, On the 6th June 1942 he was Transferred to the No.1 Engineering School RAAF to train for qualification as an LAC.
