7 Oct 1942: Enlisted Royal Australian Air Force, Aircraftman, 70988, 2 Recruit Depot, Edward enlisted at Sydney on the 7th of October 1942 and was sent to No.2 Recruit Depot, located at Cootamundra NSW
25 Oct 1942: Transferred Royal Australian Air Force, Aircraftman, RAAF Base (Richmond), Edward was posted to NO.2 Aircraft Depot (NO.2 AD) Richmond shortly after passing the recruitment process, Edward was only at NO.2 AD for 57 days before being posted again
20 Dec 1942: Transferred Royal Australian Air Force, Aircraftman, No. 1 Squadron (RAAF), On the 25th of December 1942 Edward was posted to No. 1 Fighter Wing which at the time was located in Richmond NSW. Shortly after on the 25th of January 1943 No. 1 Squadron was fully reformed and relocated to Darwin NT.
