Advice has been received that Driver E. L. Dreyer (15th Field Ambulance, 5th Australian Division) has been mentioned in despatches for gallantry in the field during operations near Menin road. In September, 1917. A communication has been sent by the Divisional Commander heartily congratulating Driver Dreyer upon the
distinction.

Family History
Edmunds Parents were Charles Louis Frederick Dreyer born 1 Nov 1860 Kooringa, South Australia, Australia, he died 18 July 1933.Charles married Alice Emily Webb 3 Feb 1871. Alice Emily was born 1897 [not sure where] and died 11th March 1948. Edmund's parents are both buried at Orroroo Cemetery, South Australia.
Edmund married Florence Lavinia Minns on the 15 June 1921. Florence Lavinia Minns was born on the 29 Jan 1901 and died on the 30 May 2002.
Edmund and Florence had 3 Children, Gwendoline, Maxwell and Dawn.
