Brother of Harold George Oliver MM who returned to Australia on 25 September 1919 having served with the 4th Battalion and William James Oliver who return to Australia on 20 August 1919 having served with the 5th Machine Gun Battalion.

Commenced return to Australia on 4 January 1919 aboard HT Morvada disembarking on 20 February 1919 at Melbourne for onward travel to Sydney
