Son of Edgar Joseph MATTHEWS and Annie Catherine WHITE

Mr. E.J. Matthews, engineer of the Castle Salt Company at Edithburghe, has been notified that his son Ken died of wounds on March at the 45th casualty clearing station in France.  Pte. Matthews was transferred from the 50th to the 27th Battalion.  Prior to enlisting he was employed in the office of Messrs. Bagot, Shakes & Lewis at Minlaton, with the late Flight-Lieut. Sutherland.
