Husband of Matilda Frances LACY

Mr Ernest William Lacy, who received the OBE, enlisted in the British Army in 1899, and served in the South African War. Joining the AIF at the outbreak of the First World War, he  served as quarter-master-captain at Gallipoli, and in Egypt and France. He has been secretary of the Hobart sub-branch of the RSL since 1937. During the Second World War he was active in VDC undertakings, and assisted on many patriotic committees.
