At the time of enlistment Horace was employed at the State Electricity Commission at Yallourn. He had apprenticed with Hoyle Elec. Co. Pt. Ltd. at Geelong for 15 months.
Prominent member of the Communist Party of Australia.
Suspected of spying whilst visiting Woomera as a salesman for an electronics supplier.
