Husband of Elsie Rhonda KNOWLES, 173 High Street, North Sydney, NSW
William 'Bill' was a respected ex-serviceman working in the Royal Australian Air Force, 77th Squadron, serving from 1939 - 1948. As a Radio Mechanic on Goodenough Island in Papua New Guinea, he was a remarkable member of the Air Force servicing radio units. After the war Bill moved to Mudgee and was a skilful locksmith and handyman. He was awarded a King Scout badge and took numerous groups to events including the World Scout Jambouree.
