Son of George Thomas EAST and Charlotte EAST nee EMERY, Eastmont, Warwick, Queensland
Soon after returning from the war Gerald married Grace Wade, a member of a well known Charleville family, who was a nurse in Charleville. They remained at Combanning for a short period before moving to the Winton Area. Apparently Gerald had travelled to the Winton area prior to the war and had his eye on the district. They bought Cambella in 1925 and later another property Whyrallah in 1936. They raised 3 children whilst at Cambeela and retired to the Rockhampton area aroun dthe early 1950's. Gerald died in 1957.
