Pte. Tasman Blacker von Steiglitz, 8th Battalion Australian Infantry, was killed in action on 8th May 1915. He is commemorated on the Helles Memorial.

Born at Ulverstone, Tasmania, the former warehouseman enlisted at Melbourne on 12th September 1914. He was the 22 year-old brother of Douglas Joseph von Steiglitz, of 43 Lord Street, Sandy Bay, Hobart, Tasmania.
