Elexus LUXFORD was born in Bendemeer, New South Wales in 1896
His parents were William LUXFORD & Sarah Ann TURNER who married on 6th February, 1889 in St John the Evangelist Church in Uralla, NSW
He enlisted in Warwick Farm in Sydney on 12th August, 1915 and embarked from Sydney on the HMAT Euripides on 2nd November, 1915 with the 3rd Infantry Battalion, 11th Reinforcement - he transferred to the 55th Infantry Battalion on 13th February, 1916
Elexus was Killed in Action in France on 14th December, 1916 and is buried in the Guards Cemetery in Lesboeufs
