Keith Ronald was born on 14 November 1920 in Benalla, Victoria, Australia. To John and Elizabeth Hernan.He was educated at Benalla technical School where he learnt the trade of a mechanic and graduated. Ken worked in various workshops and garages in and around Winton Victoria Australia. Ken enlisted in the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) on 18th December 1939. He went through the RAAF engineering school & completed and came away as flight mechanic he gained the rank of sergeant. He was shipped over seas to the Middle East on 2nd April 1942 he returned to Australia via Sydney on 28th November 1945. ken married Patricia Elizabeth Betts BYRNE in 1946 in Melbourne, Victoria. Australia. They had one child during their marriage. Ken died on 16 April 1962 in Sydney, New South Wales, at the age of 41, and was buried there.
