OBITUARY
MR. W. A. BEECHY
Our correspondent at Pyengana writes: The death occurred on Wednesday of last week of Mr. William Arthur Beechy at the residence of his sister, Mrs. P. Hodge, Goshen. Mr. Beechy was born at Pyengana 55 years ago, and was the youngest son of the late John and Mary Beechy. He served in the 1914-18 war, and lived most of his life on the North East coast. His wife died two years ago. The funeral took place on Friday at the Church of England cemetery, Pyengana, the service being conducted by Rev. Cloudsdale (St. Helens), Chief mourners were Mr. H. Beechy (brother), Mrs. P. Hodge (sister), Mr. P. Hodge (brother-in-law), Gwen and Vera Hodge (nieces), Messrs. Max and Roy Beechy and Mac Jaffray (nephews). Funeral arrangements were carried out by A. C. Bailey, of St. Helens.
