Leslie Adrian De FONTENAY was born in Eastwood, South Australia on 10th February, 1896
His parents were Adrian Louis Ferdinand Cadet de FONTENAY & Elizabeth Mountford SALISBURY
He enlisted on 28th September, 1914 and embarked with the 7th Infantry Battalion, 2nd reinforcements from Melbourne on the HMAT Clan McGillivray on 2nd February, 1915
Leslie died of wounds on 29th December, 1917 in Belgium and is buried in the Somer Farm Cemetery
