Son of Seymour and Mary LUKEEN
Private G. M. Lukeen (34), adopted son of Mr. and Mrs. Potter, of Good-street, Granville, who was reported missing at the same time as their own son, Private Walter Potter, was taken prisoner, namely, towards the end of July, 1916.
Private George Lukeen, of Woy Woy, who ia a prisoner in Germany, has sent home a couple of his photos showing at all events that he has not been starved.
WOY WOY.
A PRISONER OF WAR.
Private G. M. Lukeen, of Woy Woy, who is a prisoner of war in Germany, writes to Mr. J. W. Browne, of Patonga, under date of August 20 : — ' I suppose you will be surprised to hear that I am a prisoner of war in Gehnany. Well, it is the fortune of war I have written to the Red Cross in London and other places for aid in plain food stuff and trust they will send it along soon. Was taken prisoner on the 20th July, without getting a mark. Will tell you more when we get back. Am quite well at present and hope this will find you the same.'
