Ernest Littledyke - Life

Ernest was born in 1880 in Stamford, Lincolnshire, England, the 2nd of 5 children born to William Littledyke and his 2nd wife, Caroline Spurgeon. He was baptised on 8th December 1880 in Stamford, Lincolnshire.
In 1881, William and his family were living at 3 All Saint's Street, Stamford, Lincolnshire where he was a Furniture Dealer, a trade which his wife, Caroline, continued with after his death in 1886.
In 1911, Ernest was living at 3 All Saint's Street, Stamford, Lincolnshire, with his mother, Caroline, and younger sister, Ethel. His employment was given as Furniture Dealer's Assistant.
Ernest departed Liverpool, England on 25th November 1911 on SS Suffolk for Adelaide, Australia.

Ernest is also commemorated on the World War I Shrine at All Saint's Church, Stamford, Lincolnshire, England and on the World War I Memorial Plaque at Broad Street, Stamford, Lincolnshire, England
