Served for 2 years in the Senior Cadets
16 February 1916 - Taken on strength 53 Battalion at Tel-el-Kebir
11 March 1916 - Transferred to the 14 Machine Gun Battalion
24 March 1916 - To hospital with Influenza
7 April 1916 - Rejoined unit at Ferry Post
1 May 1916 - Attended instructors school at Zeitoun
19 June 1916 - Embarked HMT Canada at Alexandria to join BEF
25 June 1916 - Disembarked at Marseilles
14 August 1917 - Father wrote to Base Records saying that he has not received Cyril personal effects
