Son of John and Mary COCHRANE, High Street, Woonona, New South Wales
Williams saw service in Egypt, France and Belgium and was wounded at Polygon Wood on 20th September 1917, and whilst going to have the wound attended to was struck by a shell and killed.
Mr. J. Cochrane, of High-htreet, Woonona, has received a cable message informing him that his son, Private Archibald Cochrane, has been killed in action in France. Private Cochrane was only 19 years of age, and had been 13 months in the trenches.
