Leading Aircraftman Murray Campbell Harrison (Service No:84509) enlisted in the RAAF on 18 March 1944 as an Aircraftman I - he had served one year in Geraldton with the Navy Auxiliary Patrol. Promoted to Leading Aircraftman, he served with 17 Repair and Salvage Unit (RSU), 73 Operational Base Unit (OBU) and 25 Squadron. LAC Harrison was Discharged on 9 April 1946.

Born in 1925 in Geraldton WA, Murray was the youngest of six children of Thomas Theodore Harrison (b1884 in Greenough, WA) and Frances Campbell (b1884 in Perth, WA). Thomas (a Farmer) and Frances married in 1913 in Geraldton WA. The couple settled in the Geraldton region where they raised their family and Thomas was a Farmer at Greenough and Narngulu via Geraldton before settling in Greenough in the 1920s where he was a Storekeeper. In the early 1930s the family moved to Mullewa, where Thomas was a Farm Hand before returning to Geraldton in the late 1930s where Thomas worked as a Labourer and Painter's Assistant with the WAGR. Thomas and Frances then lived in Utakarra and Wonthella where Thomas as a Labourer, and following Frances' death in 1963, Thomas moved to Perth.

Murray worked as a Labourer in Geraldton for the Aerated Waters Coy and, following his Discharge in 1946 settled at Utakarra via Geraldton where he was a Gardener in 1949 when he married Rita O'Byrne (b1928 in Geraldton, WA). Murray and Rita lived in Geraldton (where Murray was a Driver) before he joined WAGR in the early 1950s. The couple then lived in Kalgoorlie, York and Northam where Murray was a Shunter. In the mid 1970s they settled in Armadale where Murray was a Guard with the WAGR. Rita died in 1990 and Murray in 2016.
