Husband of Eva Emily Simmons nee Cheshire of Mount Pleasant, Whitechurch, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, England. Jesse and Eva were married on 29 September 1917 in the Whitechurch Parish Church, Buckingham. Vicar Hugh Wood officiated. In 1929 Eva was still living in England. Jesse had returned to his pre-war land near Narrogin, WA
Commenced return to Australia 24 August 1918 disembarking on the 8 September 1919 at Melbourne before boarding Rotamahana for onward travel to Perth, WA
