Biography

Herbert Darius HOWARD was born on the 1st August, 1889 in Kindred, Ulverstone, Tasmania

His parents were John HOWARD and Matilda Martha RUSSELL

He enlisted on 4th August 1916 with the 12th Battalion

Unit embarked  Melbourne on HMAT Palermo on 30th September, 1916

He died of wounds on 9th April, 1917 in France
