Son of Annie and the late Thomas FITZGERALD

Husband of Mrs. Margaret FITZGERALD, 108 Denison Street, Newtown, Sydney, NSW

Joseph served in Egypt and France and was wounded at Pozieres 24 August 1917 with a gunshot wound to the thigh and neck.  He was invalided to General Hospital France.  After recovering he rejoined his unit and made the Supreme Sacrifice on 06 July 1918.

He leaves a wife and one child.
