Dear Mr Kilpatrick
Just a few lines to let you know I received your Sept letter alright, thanking you for the same, am glad yo hear that it left you all well. We have been having a rough time of it lately & the weather has been wet and cold. We saw our first fall of snow the other day my word it was a lovely sight but very cold. I think it will be very cold here in the winter. The pictures on this card are the destruction of Ypres. I have been through the ruined city since it was bombarded.
