Alf was the third of five children of Alfred William Morey Snr (b1859 in Collingwood, Victoria) and Christina Griffin (b1861 in Collingwood, Victoria). Alfred Snr (a Carpenter) and Christina married in 1883 in Melbourne, Victoria. By 1897 the family had moved to Perth WA.
Alf was a Butcher in Perth WA in 1911 when he married Evelyn May Stinton (b1893 in Blackwood, WA). Alf enlisted in the AIF in 1915 and was a Sergeant (Service No:10861) attached to 3rd Field Artillery Brigade when he was Discharged in July 1919.
Following his Discharge, Alf and Evelyn moved to Upper Capel Estate near Donnybrook WA, where Alf was a Farmer until the mid 1930s when they moved back to Perth. In 1940 Alf was working as a PT Instructor when he enlisted in the ACMF (Sergeant; Service No:W243335) with 10 Garrison Battalion. He was atatched to DRO when he was Discharged in February 1944.
Alf worked briefly in Donnybrook as a Farmer and Timber Worker before he and Evelyn moved to Bridgetown in 1945, where Alf was a Farmer. Alf died in 1953 and Evelyn in 1977.

He served with 3rd Field Artillery Brigade (Private; Service No:10861), and in 1917 was Promoted to Driver in France. Alf was Discharged in July 1917.
Following the War, Alf and Evelyn moved to Upper Capel Estate near Donnybrook WA where Alf was a Farmer until the mid 1930s. The family returned to Perth and Alf worked as a Labourer and PT Instructor. In January 1940, Alf enlisted in the ACMF (Private; Service No:W243335) with 10th Garrison Battalion. He was a Sergeant attached to DRO when he was Discharged in February 1944.
