Biography contributed by Faithe Jones

Son of William Henry and Agnes Jane Waters, of Burradoo, New South Wales.

BELOVED SON OF W.H. & A.J.WATERS BURRADOO, N.S.W "FAITHFUL UNTO DEATH"

Mr. W. H, Waters, Government Fruit Expert, Burradoo, has been advised by the military authorities that his son, Private Leslie Waters, was killed in action in France on the l5th April last.  Private  Waters, who was attached to a machine gun section, sailed from Australia in October, 1916, consequently bad seen a good deal ot the fighting. He had been wounded on a previous occasion, but had returned to the front only to meet his death in one ol the recent battles. A fine manly young fellow, Private Waters was most popular as a soldier and in his life in this district before he volunteered to  serve in the interests of his country. Be was 22 years of age. Mr. Waters' eldest son, who bad previously enlisted, died in Liverpool camp from pneumonia in July, 1915, and much sympathy is felt for him in the double loss that he has now sustained.
