The details provided are taken from the book "Stealth Raiders - a few daring men in 1918" written by Lucas Jordan, published 2017, refer to pages 31 + 33 + 272. Prior to the war he was a school teacher of Bundaberg Qld. He enlisted 20th Feb 1917 aged 19 years. He served with the 41st Infantry Battalion, rising to the rank of Corporal, and was awarded a Military Medal for his activities. He survived the war and departed the UK for home 4th Jan 1919.
