Timothy Corboy was wounded in action at Mouquet Farm, 28 August 1916, severely enough to be evacuated to England, gunshot wound to the leg. He re-joined his battalion in France on the 15 February 1917. He was wounded again on the 6 August 1918, shot through the right arm, and again evacuated to England. He did a fair bit of work training as a market gardener after the armistice, returning to Australia in September 1919.
