Frederick James Fox Doyle was born in approximately December 1894 in the small town of Hamley Bridge. He lived with his mother Mary Elizabeth Doyle and was an engine cleaner. On the 25th April 1916 Frederick enlisted into the army when he was 21 and 7 months. His service number was 3542. Frederick enlisted into the 32nd Battalion, 8th Reinforcement and embarked from Adelaide, South Australia on board the HMAT A70 on the 12th of August 1916. Frederick served on the Western Front. After the war Frederick won a British War Medal and a Victory Medal. Frederick James Fox Doyle died on the 24th of November 1947.
