Austin Joseph CARRIGG was born 18.10.1893 in Toowoomba, Queensland His parents were John Joseph CARRIGG and Ellen Mary HOGAN He enlisted in WW1 on 31.1.1916 as a Private & later on became a Corporal and finished service in 41st Battalion S/N 1813 He was awarded the British War Medal & Victory Medal He returned to Australia 13.6.1918 He was discharged on 15.12.1919 He died 11.3.1921 - buried Toowoomba Cemetery Roman catholic section, plot 1, block 23, grave 669
