George Married Gertude in England, but alas this marriage only lasted about 1 year as George was killed in action on 24 April 1918 in France.

George Att3ended the Logan Village State School, The Chambers Flat State School and the Parkridge State School.
When he left the Logan Village area for WW1 he was presented with a wrist watch from the local population.
His brother Harry Service No. 5376 also served.
It is said that George was the adventurist one of the Two where as Harry was more a regulation person.
