Next of kin was given as his brother Edward Vince of North Staffs Regtiment, Litchfield Middlesex, England.

Next of kin later change to his wife May Gerturde Vince nee Williams of Brondesbury Villas, London, England. William and May married on 3 January 1916 in the Holy Trinity Church, at Kilburn, London, England. Vicar Hope Charles Tiaks officiated
