Kenneth owned land at Daly River, Northern Territory in 1915.

Enlisted as a Private in 1915, won his stripes before Pozieres and his commission on the field in December 1916.

He was recommended for a Military Medal in June 1916 and Distinguished Conduct Medal, but not awarded either of these honours.
