Son of James Figg and Elizabeth Mary Figg nee Williams of Mannum, SA. Brother of Edwin James Figg, Albert Harold Figg, Ernest Thomas Amos Figg, Frank Cliffod Figg, William John Figg, Elizabeth Mary Figg and Victoria Emma Maud Figg
On 7 June 1922 David married Elza Florence Chenoweth in the Willunga Methodist Church, SA. Father of Dulcie Figg and Thelma Figg
