Son of Joseph Vogler and Betsy Helen Vogler nee Richardson of 'Forsdale', Grantham, QLD.
Brother of Leslie Roy Joseph Vogler who returned to Australia on 30 December 1917 having served with the 47th Battalion.
Commenced return to Australia on 12 December 1918 aboard HT Nestor disembarking on 1 February 1919 at Melbourne for onward travel to Bribane.
