Son of Susan Barrie (formerly Fleming) of 30 Glamis Road, Kirriemuir, Scotland. Nearest Australian next of kin was his sister Mrs. S. Hamilton of 'Potts Farm' Rochester, Brinkworth, SA
23 June 1916 - AWOL for 4 days at Rollerstone. Fined 4 days full pay and held in detention for 96 hours
26 January 1917 - AWOL for 5 days. Fined 5 days full pay and confined to barracks to 7 days
