Driver Frank Rousevale/Rousevell Meyer (Service No:996) served with the Senior Cadets (Area 88A) prior to enlisting in the AIF as a Private on 7 July 1915. Private Meyer embarked from Adelaide for Suez with the 32nd Infantry Battalion on 18 November 1915 on board HMAT Geelong A2 and on 22 May 1916 was mustered as a Driver. On 3 November 1917, Driver Meyer was attached to 14th Field Artillery Brigade in France when he was WiA (Multiple Shell Wounds) and evacuated to England. Driver Meyer embarked for the RTA on 5 April 1918 on board HT A30 Borda, and was attached to 14th Field Artillery Brigade at Discharge on 12 June 1918.

Born in 1894 in Petersburg South Australia, Frank was the eighth of nine children of August Carl Gotthilf Meyer (b1852 in Adelaide, South Australia) and Mary Jane Rounsevell (b1851 in Cornwall, England) - Mary immigrated in 1868, arriving in Adelaide on board the Orient. August (a Shopkeeper) Mary married in 1874 in Hahndorf, South Australia and lived in Hahndorf, Adelaide and Petersburg where they raised their family and August worked as a Shopkeeper and Servant. Following August's death in 1899, Mary and the children moved to Perth, Western Australia.

Frank worked as a Horse Driver in Perth prior to enlistment, and was a Carter in Perth in 1925 when he married May Ida Kathleen Cunningham (b1898 at Canning Mills, Kalamunda, WA). Frank and May settled in Kalgoorlie, WA where Frank worked as a Driver and Miner until the mid 1940's when they relocated to Perth. Frank was a Civil Servant and Watchman in Perth, where he died in 1965. May died in 1971.
