Sometime after the war James Paton moved to the Inglewood area of Victoria.
In about 1990 his British War Medal and dog tags were purchased at a garage sale in Inglewood.
The medals are currently on display at the Australian Armour and Artillery Museum, Cairns in the hope that one day they will be re-claimed by the family.
