Robert Valentine WHITEHORN was born in Maylands, St Peters South Australia on 14th February, 1884

His parents were John WHITEHORN & Mary Ann KING

He married Alice Maud BERRY on 17th July, 1905 in Port Pirie, SA - one son Ralph Torrens WHITEHORN

Robert returned to Australia on 18th December, 1919 and was discharged on 26th February, 1920

His son Ralph (SN 286265)  served during WW2 in the RAAF and was discharged on 16th August, 1946 (Flight Lieutenant)

He died in South Australia on 14th August, 1978
