8 March 1915 - enlisted at Liverpool, NSW, with the 20th Battalion and with the rank of Private

Commenced return to Australia on 9 December 1918 aboard HT Argyllshire disembarking on 1 February 1919 at Melbourne for onward travel to Sydney

Medals: 1914-1915 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal

15 April 1919 - discharged at the 2nd Military District as medically unfit
