He was 33 and the son of John and Annie Wick, (nee Fobister) of William Rd., Kirkwall, Orkney Isles, Scotland.
Enlisted Brisbane.
1891 Census: 2 Cursiters Close, Kirkwall. Australian Deaths: Queensland. Mother's name Ann Foubister. Occ Cook. NoK: Mrs Thomas Wilson, (Sister) Willow Road, Kirkwall, Orkney. Residence: Cutpool. He is commemorated on the war memorials at Deerness and at Kirkwall on Orkney. He is also remembered on a tablet in Kirkwall Cathedral .
