Biography
"THE LATE PRIVATE T. N. CATLOW.
Mr. Thomas Catlow, of Mackinnon-parade, Lower North Adelaide, has been notified of the death of his only son, Private T.N. Catlow. He was 19 years of age. He enlisted in August, 1914, and was reported missing soon after the landing on Gallipoli. Prior to enlisting he was an apprentice in the felt hat trade, employed by the Adelaide Hat Manufacturing Company, North Adelaide. He was a member of each of the two champion cadet teams which visited Melbourne and Sydney in 1912-13, and he took a great interest in military affairs. He was of genial disposition and esteemed by all who knew him." - from the Adelaide Chronicle 28 Oct 1916 (nla.gov.au)
