His parents were Copeland SPODE and Anna Louisa DARE

He married Dorothy Marsland BEER in Queensland on 16th August, 1919 - two children Audrey & Jeffrey

Ivan died on 31st May, 1960 in Heidelberg, Victoria and is buried in Burwood Cemetery along with his wife Dorothy
