Son of Eugene Humphrey O'Sullivan and Catherine O'Sullivan nee McDonald of Daylesford, Victoria.
At the time of enlistment Joseph was residing in Western Australia.
Nex of kin given as his brother Humphrey O'Sullivan of Eganstown, Victoria following his death it was later changed to Eugene O'Sullivan of Sale, Victoria
