Eldest son of Owen Walter WILLIAMS of 323 Lyttleton Terrace, Bendigo, Victoria, Glass Stainer and his wife Susan, daughter of Thomas LAWSON.
CHRIST WILL HOLD ME FAST
Born in Melbourne, 10 February 1891 and educated at Bendigo, Victoria he, like his father was a Glass Stainer at Sydney. He volunteered for foreign service on the outbreak of war, and joined the Australian Forces on 26 November 1914. He proceeded to Egypt with the 2nd Reinforcements on 11 February 1915 and served with the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force at Gallipoli, and was killed in action there by the bursting of a shell on 29 August 1915. He was buried where he fell.
