Son of John Ormond and Margaret M. Ormond of Broadwater, NSW

Brother of John Ormond who died of wounds on 29 August 1917 while serving with the 52nd Battalion and is buried in Westhof Farm Cemetery, Plot 11, Row E, Grave 10.

Commenced return to Australia on 12 April 1919 aboard HT Suffolk disembarking on 6 June 1919
