Son of Alfred Edward Simmons and Ellen Louisa Minnie Simmons nee Grace of Patrick Street, Clayton, Victoria
Commenced return to Australia on 31 July 1918 aboard HT Malta disembarking on the 28 September 1918
During 1926 Alfred married Sarah Jane Clough in Victoria and at the time of his death they were residing at 25 Reginald Street, Quarry Hill, Victoria
