"Mr. G. W. Horton
Mr. George W. Horton, a returned soldier (16th Batt.), 61 years of age, died in the Stirling hospital on Tuesday. He was laid to rest in the A.I.F. cemetery, West-terrace, to-day." - from the Mount Barker Courier 27 Jun 1940 (nla.gov.au)
