Husband of Catherine Unwin nee Depean of Marriott Street, St. Kilda, Victoria. George and Catherine married during 1918c in Victoria 

27 May 1918 - enlisted in Melbourne with the 6th General Re-inforcements(Egypt) with rank of Private

14 September 1918 - embarked HMAT Port Darwin at Sydney disembarking at Suez on 20 October 1918

4 March 1919 - transferred to the 8th Light Horse Regiment with the rank of Trooper

7 August 1919 - returned to Australia aboard HT Malta

22 August 1919 - discharged at the 3rd Military District
