Son of Esther Utteridge of Forth, Tasmania. Brother of William Utteridge who returned to Australia on 22 May 1918 having served with the 52nd Battalion and the 4th Divisional Salvage Company and Albert Utteridge who was killed in action on 26 February 1917 while serving with the 40th Battalno and is buried in the Cite Bonjean Military Cemetery.
