Angela was the daughter of Nicholas SADLIER and Anna Georgina nee STURGESS of Albemarle Station and the 'Ballysmode' Grange, SA and was in England at the outbreak of the war. Angela trained as a nurse at Guy’s Hospital, London, and served in QAIMNSR in France and Italy 1915-1918
She arrived in France 06 July 1915 and served in 26th General Hospital from 11 November 1916, took leave 30 May - 12 June 1917 and then served at the 32nd Stationary Hospital from 15 June 1917.
She forwarded her resignation 07 November 1917 and stated that she wished to resign in order to obtain her C.M.B. Certificate. This special course of training would have taken six months form 01 March - 01 July 1918'
Angela arrived back in UK 12 January 1918 and was recommended for further service but asked for 6 months leave without pay from 14 January 1918 and put in her resignation on completion of her contract - request denied.
Resignation accepted from 12 January 1918
After WWI she went to Argentina and served as a civilian volunteer in the Falkland Islands in 1939, eventually returning to Australia.
She died 03 March 1970 at Daw Park, SA, aged 81 years and had been residing at Fullarton, SA.
